Intrepid 4x5 Hardwood Edition

The premium Intrepid 4x5 Hardwood is available in Walnut, Cherry or Beach with hand-folded black bellows. Each camera is cut from a single piece of wood, then hand sanded and lacquered. The individual grain of each piece of wood means that each Hardwood 4x5 is completely unique. The Intrepid 4x5 Hardwood is the ideal large format field camera, super compact, lightweight and easy to use, yet packed with advanced features. The Intrepid 4x5 Hardwood will accept all standard copal shutter style 4x5 lenses from 75mm-300mm (75mm requires a recessed lens board) You can check out our detailed lens buying guide here; Please note: Lens, lens boards, film holder and fresnel screen are not included. Features & Benefits The front standard has a full range of independently controlled rise/fall, tilt and pan movements. There are also guides to give you complete precision, plus zero stops for accuracy. The rear standard rotates 360° for quick switching between landscape and portrait and has full tilt/swing movement. It also has a universal Graflok back for use with a variety of 120 and instant film backs (including the Lomography Instax Wide back). Thanks to the aluminium base and rear-triggered linear focus, you get consistent, razor-sharp focus and increased stability no matter what the conditions or lens size. The screen is super-bright with a half-inch grid and we have added a Fresnel lens port, which is particularly useful with wide-angle lenses. When not in use, the camera folds flat for easy transport.
