Luteum jellyfish

Bred on the East Coast of China, Luteum Jellyfish (Rhopilema esculentum) are usually despatched in large quantities into the ocean in order to increase stocks within their natural habitat; however they can also be kept as pets. Unlike Moon or Blue Blubber Jellyfish, Luteum Jellyfish have a sting, and so must be handled with care when moving from one tank to another – and as a result, they are also considered a species which requires expert attention. Brightly coloured, with short branched orange tentacles almost representing tree roots, and a rounded, scalloped head; Luteum Jellyfish really are some of the most striking pets you can own.
