Producer Description  Tequila Fortaleza is a small-batch, handcrafted tequila. It is made today with the same production methods that our family used to make tequila, over one hundred and forty years ago! Fortaleza Añejo is aged for 18 months is used American Whiskey barrels. The extra time spent aging in these barrels impart deeper, richer, and warmer tones than our reposado.  Common aromas and flavors found in our añejo are: Cooked Agave, Sweet Butter, Butterscotch, Caramel, Vanilla, Citrus, Dried Fruit, Tropical Fruit, Cinnamon, White Pepper, Cloves, Nuts, and Dry Earth. All of our tequilas are deliciously wonderful and complex, and can be enjoyed neat, or in a cocktail!
