Realizing they'd named themselves after the local football team's biggest rival, the team changed it's name to the Chicago Zephyrs. Again the change lasted only one season as the team moved to Baltimore and became the Bullets following the season. In 1973, they moved down the road and became the Capital Bullets for one season before they changed their geographical designation to Washington. They changed their nickname to Wizards in 1997.
