This product is included in the following Perfume Making Kits: 100 Essential Aroma Chemicals Kit Three; Incense Accord Kit.  Description and usage notes: A lovely floral-sweet material for creating a soft, powdery carnation scent and as a substitute for isoeugenol, it is also valuable as a complexing agent for vanilla, tobacco, leather and fruit accords. Recommended usage is up to 3% of the formula but it is often effective in traces. Description from Givaudan: “Spicy, Carnation, Sweet, Vanilla, a Givaudan captive for several years an elegant, spicy/sweet ingredient with a similar olfactive note to Isoeugenol, but with an additional powdery aspect reminiscent of carnation (Dianthus caryophyllus). Unlike Isoeugenol, it is much less susceptible to discolouration and, importantly, is not restricted by IFRA.”
