Description and usage notes: Not to be confused with Terrasol, this Symrise product is immediately reminiscent of a mossy bank or poolside, very natural smelling and evocative. An exceptional material that has been used at Pell Wall for some years but we’ve only recently obtained sufficient stock to enable us to list it for sale. Unlike many materials in this register it is long-lasting as well as very diffusive and it is exceptionally effective in water-based applications where the bloom is excellent. This is a solid that is normally melted for use and requires a lot of heat input to melt it. Even small quantities of the pure material will solidify with quite high heat required to liquefy it – so by default it is supplied at 50% in ethanol – if you prefer pure we make a small additional charge to melt it for you but the price of the material itself is the same – please indicate your preference in the box at checkout. Note that you only need to pay the melting charge once however much Terranol you’re buying. Note that even at 50% you may find crystals forming in the liquid in cold weather: if that happens some gentle heating in a hot water bath and a good shake will soon get them back into solution. Symrise describe it like this: Odor Description: earthy, mossy, camphorous, patchouli, beetroot Stability: body lotion (good), shampoo/shower gel (very good), soap (very good), AP roll-on 15% (very good), detergent powder conc. (good), cleaner liquid citric acid (poor), cleaner APC liquid (very good), bleach (poor) Perfumery Use: resembles humid-earthy patchouli aspects and fresh vetiver roots; reinforces a pleasant, dark fruitiness; makes fragrances fuller, richer and more radiant; imparts the earthy part of green ground-growing moss Use Level: 0.1 - 3%
